TRIYOU Forum 2025
Exchange. Engage. Empower.
From September 22-24, 2025, the German-Polish Youth Office (DPJW/PNWM) invited educators in international youth work from Poland, Germany, and Ukraine to take part in the TRIYOU Forum 2025. The network event took place at Centrum Zielna in Warsaw and was organised in cooperation with the Krzyżowa Foundation for Mutual Understanding in Europe and the Bredbeck Education Centre with the kind support of the Federal Foreign Office of Germany, the Foundation for Polish-German Cooperation and Renovabis.
What was the TRIYOU Forum about?
The TRIYOU Forum was a space to connect, empower, and inspire educators engaged in international youth work. Focusing on trilateral exchange between Poland, Germany, and Ukraine, the event offered practice-oriented methods, tools, and sharing experiences. In times marked by the ongoing war against Ukraine, rising political extremism, climate crises, social inequality, and anxiety about the future, the Forum aimed to strengthen youth work by addressing key questions:
- How can youth projects foster inclusion and resilience?
- How do we deal with controversy and support diverse perspectives?
- How can we apply trauma-sensitive and media-literate approaches?
The participants were made up of youth work professionals of diverse backgrounds, including educators, teachers, and representatives of organisations engaged in trilateral youth exchange between Germany, Poland, and Ukraine.
The TRIYOU Forum held a varied programme, including
- Interactive workshops on topics such as how to deal with controversy, trauma sensitivity, and media literacy in times of war;
- Practice-based tools and methods for organising impactful exchange projects;
- Insights on youth-related issues in the trilateral context;
- Networking opportunities with educators from Ukraine, Poland, and Germany to share experiences and explore new collaborations;
- A public panel: „(Un)told stories and their Influence on International Youth Work“
- Update on funding opportunities for trilateral projects in times of limited resources.
